Sorry it didn't work out for Schofield as he is a Doncaster lad, I bet his family is gutted.
The fact is he played the wrong system2v3 in middle of the park game after game after game.Never changed itTo 4-3-3 or 4-3-1-2 everSorry we should have finished top 9 min even with the injuries.Sorry stop making excuses for his tactical ineptitude.

He was also fortunate that he inherited a decent squad that he added some “lucky” loans to.Although we made the play offs we were miles behind the other top teams.I wouldn’t balk at him coming back but people maybe need to remember what it was actually likeNo,not really,45%win rate as our manager,40% win rate all manager career,in league one and championship, not bad for a manager without a plan B.Like I said I wouldn’t be adverse to him coming back

I just feel relieved, And I do think it was the correct decision, I don’t think many of our supporters would ever give him the chance even if we were doing well next season. They’ve got to go get mcCann. Apparently Byrne has been at the last few home games
I’m really disappointed for DS. There’s no question he’s done a poor job, particularly since January/ February. But he’s massively been thrown under the bus. He had literally no chance to succeed.
I don't get why there is all this sympathy for Danny Schofield, people get sacked all the time, even me, my wife told me I was no good in the trouser department and then 2 weeks later I got sacked from my job in the trouser department at Marks and Spencers.
For anyone at Walsall, did DS look like he knew his time was up?As his interview gave mixed messages to me.Just intrigued how it’s happened so quickly.

Doctor said I had a reptile disfunction.

Whilst I don't take delight in someone losing their employment, I am happy that the decision taken was the right decision and at the right time.I wanted it to work when he was appointed, as I do whenever we hire a manager, and initially the patterns of play in matches looked so promising. Somehow the collective hand reaching for top gear managed to pull us into reverse, through a wall, and then someones front room. My questions to the board now would simply be:- What have you learnt from the successive failures in managerial appointments? i.e how will you ensure that this is the RIGHT appointment at the RIGHT time?- How does this decision impact the playing budget now there will be 3 wages instead of 2 to pay?- What changed between the announcement on the 6th April and the subsequent firing on the 9th May that persuaded you to make the decision that the majority of the fanbase were audibly crying out for week after week? Sure we lost to Walsall, but was that display really more convincing than say the dreadful game against Crewe Alexandra?- How much decision making will the new manager hold over transfers? Now I'm living back in South Yorkshire, here's hoping I can make it to a ATB to try these myself
