Billy Sharp

Looks like Billy’s on his way out at the the blades, could we tempt him? Would he be tempted?

Feel for him though not getting his 250th goal with them this season if this is the case.

No thanks

No thanks? Really???

Removed my comment because I couldn’t be bothered with the response but you saw it in a flash haha I don’t think he’s what we’re missing and think it’s best left in the past. Just my opinion

No problem. Personally just think he’d give everyone a further lift in spirits and bring the feel good factor back. But understand your view

If we were in league one then this might have legs. He won’t drop down to our level though.

Non starter

Forget it no chance, will easily get a league 1 team at the very least, and I agree with mush could end up at Rotherham.

Big risk for any team to offer him a contract at even Championship level, won’t get 90min games off him now, just keep the memories

To be fair no one could hit a barn door under Dickov.

Think the only way he’d be tempted is if he knew we’d finish above Wrexham. Sure he wound them up in their cup game?

im still gutted about that time, when he came in January,he was 4 goals behind browny in top scorer chart, bookies were offering 18 to 1 he would be too end of season. I've never seen such free money,  4 months later, a decent sized bet was thrown in the bin!!! He was winning pennos, browny was scoring them ffs

Fair enough Peebles but I think it’s about time we made some new club legends.

That and it’s physicality we need up top remember.

Doesn’t offer much we’re missing and would be the clubs highest earner for it.

I wouldn’t have thought Sadlier would.

If he’s lost his way and enjoyed playing for Grant why not?

If we signed him, we’d have about a threpny bit left for the other 21 players in the squad. Not a single chance on earth unless he wants to play for free.

He's played 16 times and had his fair share of injuries this season.

You couldn’t play a high pressing game if you signed Billy, that isn’t his game at this stage of his career.
I think it would be a massive boost to see him come back into the fold, even at this late stage of his career.
We know him, he knows us. A year’s contract, with a view to being found a role with the club, when his playing days are over.

He’s always had a good attitude and his personality is infectious on the pitch. Many problems to recruiting him obviously, the money, dropping down the leagues, probable interest from other clubs higher up, unlikely but you never know.

Wilks is playing for Sheffield Wednesday. He gets in most other league 1 sides bar probably the top 7

Perhaps Billy might get signed on by another South Yorkshire team , Rotherham, Barnsley, Sheffield Wednesday ?

Should we create 'a role in the club' for anyone who's done a couple of seasons and been a fan's favourite?  I'd have thought the only club he would be given a non-playing role would be ambassadorial at the Blades.

Billy hates Wednesday and Barnsley. Not sure he'd fit in at Rotherham either with how Taylor wants to play.

I think he'll get another year and then probably retire.
