Seem to remember the last time we had hooped socks, the players didn't like them and were abandoned in favour of all red. Maybe something to do with them being harder to pick out on the pitch.

Seen the back (all red with white hoop at waist level) brilliant. I always think a blank white space for the number looks….well, blank!

Just seen photos of the display in the club shop, Inc the kit in its entirety. Although not a fan of black shorts etc, it does look smart and the socks being a bit broader hoops look better too.

Can certainly see this being popular and it's definitely a throw back. I just keep visioning Gareth Roberts in the same kit all those years ago. Can't remember what season it was but John Oster was in the team then too.

Correct. That was the 17/18 season, and we switched to all white socks part way through the season.
