Just picked up my lads season ticket and my ticket for Harrogate plus our tickets for Hull away.
Now at Rovcon 2. The build up is ace isn't it.

First time in a few years I've been excited for the start of a season, currently '2' and may hit '1' by kick off on Saturday.

We are still a work in progress and we really need to give it a few games before judging either way. But I really am looking forward to this season more than I have at any time for years.

2 1/2 now and if I watch Rovers beat Harrogate with a good win then I will be a 2.  Got a ticket for Saturday and just hoping the game doesn't get rained off as a starting home win is just what we need.

I am so excited for Saturday. I only hope it will be justified. From the moment Grant was rumoured to be coming back, I have had a silly, giddy, boyish feeling about my club again.
I haven’t felt like this for years - I honestly thought I had lost this feeling for good.
Football is an incredible thing - I am 53 years old and and feel like a schoolboy when I think about this season.
Please don’t let me down.

I'm always excited about opening day but I'm really trying to temper my expectations and just go with the flow, soak it all in.

The weather doesn't look great with light rain forecast so I hope that doesn't put people off going. Either way the atmosphere should be one of optimism with fans not needing much encouragement to get behind the lads. Th3 first attack, the first tackle, the first sign the team means business should be enough to put all those negative vibes behind us.

Fresh faces, fresh optimism, fresh beer, fresh chips. What more could we want.??

You are not the only one Belton. Me and my brother [combined ages 138]  flitted down south from Scawthorpe in 1965 but have not stopped supporting DRFC since, its in the blood. Now praying that our train up from Kings Cross is not cancelled by strike action in the morning.

I'm not sure on the scoring or the connotations but after the last 2 Seasons I'm pleased to be anticipating a good opening game ( weather permitting ) and a good , interesting  Season infinitely better than the last 2 put together
