Madness. Every team will go through a losing run but if a manager is going to get the sack every time then there is going to be a massive turnover throughout a season.

Reading the Gillingham forum after the rovers game, a number of their fans were calling for his head. Seemed odd based on their league position

Gillingham with Harrogate have scored the least goals in the league with only 9 goals each.

Maybe the football was boring to watch.

I know a couple of Orient fans.
They really aren't happy about their league position, but are absolutely fuming at the way Wellens behaved against Lincoln.
A disgrace to the club and football was one quote.
Get your money on him being next.

Either his actions have been misconstrued or he’s trying to cover his arse: https://x.com/billycarroll21/status/1709647875070697893?s=46&t=oRfX1WiRiEXeMOmtN1TPDA

It sounds like some people are jumping the gun with their opinions on this.
Maybe the Orient fans having a go at Wellens should have got the whole story first.

Orient fans were saying he was swearing and having a right go at them to get of the pitch,if he wanted to stop the game all he had to do was walk up to the referee

Maybe the Lincoln manager could confirm what RW is saying.
It’s always a good idea to get the facts before convicting someone.

Dissecting peoples actions in highly charged, very unusual circumstances like this is unfair really.

Also Orient fans not happy with their league position? What's that about?

16th is surely pretty acceptable for them as a newly promoted side.

Only four points out of the top six.

They lost Vigoroux and Smyth in the summer as well, two key players. From the outside you'd say anything mid-table ish is a respectable result.

I think Richie deserves credit for the job he's done there. He's definitely showed his spell with us was an exception rather than the rule for his abilities as a manager.

Flipping eck. You wouldn't have thought being 6th in the table after beating your local rivals would be sacking offences....

"Birmingham City have parted company with head coach John Eustace after 15 months in charge.

The Championship club are sixth in the table after Friday's 3-1 derby win over West Bromwich Albion.

American-owned Blues have been linked with former England captain Wayne Rooney, who has left his role as coach of Major League Soccer side DC United"

Supposedly the deal for Rooney to take over was done last week. The owner wants a "big name" manager

They did that a few years ago when they replaced Gary Rowett with Gianfranco Zola when they were 7th in the league. Results very quickly went down the pan. History repeating?

Let's hope so. Still not forgiven them for those 2 late goals whilst we were biting out nails at Leicester.

Hindsight and all, but considering the job Eustace has done at Birmingham you have to think we missed a good one there when the board went with Wellens instead.

They’ve had 4 managers in less than a year…is that a record for the EFL?

It really pains me to see a club with such a magnificent history as MK Dons going through the mill.

Millwall and Lincoln both searching for new managers. The circus goes on!
