No. Crewe fans will have done themselves credit (>1k would when winning away in the play offs) but to suggest our fans were quiet is just contrary bullshit. Atmosphere was great. Of course the early goals against affected it but the crowd stayed with the team and naturally picked up when shooting our way. I think it's more to do with how the sound travels in our stadium than a criticism Jonathan. However it travels (we know acoustically it’s not the best) it’s just rubbish to suggest the South Stand couldn’t be heard within the ground. All sides joined in and we need more of that, it was great. How's it rubbish? I was in the ground in the opposite end and couldn't hear it, that's a fact? Whether it was the best atmosphere that stand has ever created it still couldn't travel to the opposite end so your comment is daft saying that it's rubbish to say that they couldn't be heard.

Respectfully, if you couldn’t hear it then there could be an issue with your hearing. The Crewe fans may have felt louder if you were right next to them, but I’m not having it that you couldn’t hear the rest of the ground cheering the team on unless you have a hearing problem, in which case I understand.

Liverpool have speakers all over to orchestrate the singing of You’ll never walk alone .But we do need a club anthem !
I wonder if it’s worth asking a specialist for advice on how we could improve the acoustics in the stadium to get a rough idea of the kind of investment that would be needed.
That’s the same in every stadium, All stadiums have areas where people sing far louder than the rest of the stadium
The wide surround to the pitch has an impact on the accoustics in the same way as it does at the West Ham ground (the London Stadium) with its athletics track. And these characteristics are another factor in dissipating the sound. But you would not want to trade what we’ve got for something similar to Luton Town’s shambolic cramped accommodation. We are very fortunate to have our stadium. It is after all the same for both teams. What can be generated from the South stand is only a third of the potential of the rest. In some ways there might be a case for reducing the price differential between the North stand and the East and West stands so that there is more noise close to the Away support. Visually the image of empty seats in the West stand on TV makes us look poorly supported.
Im sure someone will correct me if im wrong but i believe, should the Dons somehow manage to make it to Super League, that all the audio and video equipment in the stadium would need significantly upgrading as mandatory.
