It’s pathetic to watch. Lots of tippy tappy b*llocks. Glacial attack.

Anything can happen in football, but I honestly can't see how this team will be able to beat any of the well fancied teams.

We just don't look in their class.

You think French have played well? Holland? Italy?

Can we sack him and get Graham Potter in now?

I thought the performance was better than the first two personally. Subs also looked lively, hopefully this make Southgate think.

His goalscoring record was woeful.

England just look a bit scared. They dominated that but played far too safe.  Still, I've not really seen many teams you'd fear.  We'll play better against better teams. The winner will be the one with most luck.

It was a much better performance against probably the best side we’ve played so far.
Topped the group now move on

I just can't put my finger on it but i'm going for a limited and massively risk averse manager confusing a group of talented but unintelligent players.

There should of been a players mutiny out there tonight, following orders from this pathetic manager has resulted in another complete borefest and limited time for any sort of momentum and game time for players who could light up the competition but are just not able to deal with the pathetic team setup.

We did not deserve to go through tonight as group winners, we should of been thrown into the other side of the draw and made to play the better teams. I give him one thing he's been lucky, a match next sat against the Germans and getting his ass handed to him on a plate should of been his reward for throwing away another opportunity to make something of the talent he has.

He's done it twice already, lets see what this time brings, no one hold their breath.

Well he named Shaw on the bench today so he must have been ready to play a part, what Southgate do with about 10 - 15 minutes to go? Take right back playing at left back off and switch the right back on the pitch to left back and bring Trent on at right back, a perfect chance to give Shaw some minutes and the team balance down the left

Well he thought he did as he played the same team twice.
But he won’t do now, those subs made us much better

We should be building this team around Foden and where to get the best out of him. He’s comfortably our best player.
Agree. Foden & our subs were our best players, kane, bellingham & gallacher poor i thought

Kane and Bellingham have just been poor, period. Gallacher being asked to play the "Phillips role" does him no favours whatsoever.

Absolute shite again. It is so so so boring watching England this tournament. How on earth does Southgate not know what team to put out. What’s the point in these international friendlies if we’re still experimenting 3 games in to a tournament.

Pleased you enjoyed it. I thought it was slow boring and awful
We have a squad full of talented footballers and we had 4 attempts at goal in 94 mins against a team from a country with 2.2 million people.

Southgate for crying out loud wake up and smell the coffee. You have created so much fear into this squad.
It’s horrific.
Why did you wait until the 89th min before Gordon came on. Seriously that was an embarrassing decision.
You gave him 5 mins to create a goal or score one.
I give up. What other manager would have done that.

The first player who needs dropping is not Trippier, Walker or Gallagher, it’s Kane. He’s dropping too deep therefore not leading the line properly, Alf Ramsey didn’t reinstate Jimmy Greaves when was fit, went with Geoff Hurst and we know how that ended. Greaves was twice, three times the player Hurst was, it’s all horses for courses etc

Got all the hallmarks of us been out to the 1st good team we play to me.

They might of played for a draw but as a neutral watching it we were doing the same!

I think playing better teams will suit us, more space for our attacking players.
Palmer, Mainoo both very good when they came on

Somebody needs to play Southgate the John Barnes rap from World in Motion.

He definitely didn't say "There's only one way to beat them. Play 50 passes in front of two disciplined banks of 4 then pass it back to Guehi."

Not sure. All our attacking players are used to playing high up the pitch and having lots of the ball.

Don’t see Foden or Bellingham been much danger when they get the ball on the edge of our box. The better a team is at keeping the ball the deeper we get and the harder it is to get out. A team could leave 40 yards of space behind them and we wouldn’t look to exploit it currently.

Our win in the first game playing this way was from an entertainment point of view the worst thing that could have happened.  There needed to be some jeopardy for us to get us taking some risks.
