Anyone got any ideas when we'll see this?

Hoping for a green hibernian style shirt again.

Yuck
I hope not.

Did I not see a photo of it being plain dark blue or was that just a bogus one?

I think of it more as school chocolate sponge pudding with custard on.

Green and white for me. I admit that there's a personal reason for that, but there are also Donny football connections.

The Donny boys team that jointly won the English Schoolboys Shield in the 1950s, in front of 15000 at Belle Vue, played in green and white.

Also, as mentioned above, Bremner's Rovers teams always played away in the Hibs strip of green shirts with white sleeves.

I seem to recall us playing it away at Scunthorpe at the Old Showground round about 1975. If I remember correctly, the programme had it as Chocolate Brown and Custard Yellow

Yes, and we bloody well lost 2-1, despite Kitch scoring.

A kit like this is one of the few ways the eco-power sponsor would look good I think

We also wore it at Barnsley when Stan Anderson came as manager. Against the odds we won 1-0.

I’ve seen a picture of Olowu wearing a green and white hooped shirt but he looks the same as he did in the home shirt so not sure if it’s a photoshop

That Parma shirt is a great looking one Coventryrover, and would definitely get a big thumbs up for an away shirt from me.

Last night saw a green and white Celtic looking top being modelled by Olowu on my phone. Now I can't see it anywhere to check if it is real or a mock up someone has done. It was late and I had very low battery.

The Donny boys team that jointly won the English Schoolboys Shield in the 1950s, in front of 15000 at Belle Vue, played in green and white.

Also, as mentioned above, Bremner's Rovers teams always played away in the Hibs strip of green shirts with white sleeves.

This put me in mind of the following match, and I quote the official DRFC record: “The Scottish Champions, Hibernian, were invited to Belle Vue on 4th March 1952 and a crowd of 18,474 witnessed the game that Hibs won 3-0.”

I think we were probably filling an empty Saturday after being knocked out of the Cup. I don’t think I realised at the time that they were Scottish champions and I had no idea where they were based, but the one thing that stood out at the time was that they were playing in colours reserved for Goalkeepers!

In those days no team ever played in black (which was what referees wore) and anything vivid would be ruled out as being unmanly! All football boots were brown - though rugby players sometimes used black; the reaction to pink or orange at that time would be unimaginable!

Ironically there was a period under Doherty I think when we played in white shirts and red collars and cuffs that I always thought was a bit too dainty. Fans didn’t wear them then of course. Rattles, often home-made and heavy to cart around, and scarves were the main equipment/emblems of allegiance, though I’m not sure about bobble hats.

Didn’t we play in those colours before?
Away at Lincoln is one I went to.

Yes, mid 70s. Distinctly remember that kit in my first ever away outing at Oakwell. Managed a draw despite the dodgy colours. I have a press photo from a newspaper cutting somewhere in an old scrapbook. For those watching in black n white Doncaster are in yellow and brown!
